#ucuRISING: ASOS Guidance

Action Short of a Strike (ASOS) begins on 23 November. This comprises:

• working to contract (meaning that you only fulfil the duties explicitly expressed in your contract)

• not undertaking voluntary activities

• not covering for absent colleagues

• refusing to reschedule classes missed due to industrial action

• removing materials for classes that would have taken place on strike days from online learning platforms.

There is some specific guidance on ASOS for Academic Related Professional Staff (ARPS) members.

Please not that a Marking and Assessment Boycott is not part of this phase of ASOS so, for the present, please disregard guidance on that.
