Raffle Prizes

Here is a list of the prizes we currently have for the raffle:

To be raffled on 23 July 2025:

2 tickets to the Fringe Show, “Mary Queen of Rock”

(31 July - 24 Aug 7:45pm - exact date to be arranged)

To be raffled in September 2025:

4 bottles Publia Primitivo red wine (each to be raffled separately)

1 bottle Pinot Grigio blush wine

1 bottle Yellow Tail Chardonnay

1 bottle of gin liqueur

1 bottle of Prosecco

1 Hand-crocheted wool scarf

Hand thrown pottery

£20 voucher for Lighthouse bookshop

2 custom handbags (each to be raffled separately)

Both will be sewn from the Bestie Bag pattern: https://www.blackbirdfabrics.com/en-gb/collections/bestie-bag-pattern/products/bestie-bag One will be the UCU pink with teal stars and the other will be made from fabric the winner chooses. Both bags will have an inside zipper pocket and three open pockets and an adjustable strap

3 sets of 4 art prints (A4 and/or postcard sized risograph prints, each to be raffled separately)

Georgie is a wonderful Scottish artist, producing beautiful contemporary landscapes (https://www.georgieyoung.com/profile ). From her website: "Georgie Young is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art and paints mainly contemporary Scottish landscapes. Her work aims to evoke a feeling and capture a sense of place, an atmosphere, or an unexpected detail rather than reproduce a direct likeness. Always beginning from drawing, the paintings are a product of observation, interpretation and improvisation; the original observation is processed, re-examined and the essence abstracted. Her work is an attempt to reveal the unexpected beauty of unremarked places, the interplay of light, time, weather and season on everyday landscape, and the presence and influence of the human on the physical environment. She paints primarily in acrylic using a bold palette and layer upon layer of rich textures."
