Joint Unions Health & Safety Sub-Committee
Workload and Work-related Stress Health & Safety Inspection at LLC
Health & Safety representatives from UNISON, Unite, and UCU are carrying out a Workload Inspection to learn more about the realities of your workload and work-related stress and what this means for your health and wellbeing. The inspection will take the form of an online survey and in-person drop-in interview sessions in your area, which will give you the chance to come and talk to us about your concerns.
This inspection provides staff with a confidential way to share information about workload pressures, working conditions, and any factors that may pose a risk to health, safety, or wellbeing. The aim is to identify hazards, understand their impact, and ensure that appropriate preventative or corrective actions can be taken.
You do not need to answer all the questions in the survey or in the interview if you do not wish to do so, but please respond to as many as you can. We wish to assure you that this inspection is completely confidential: no identifying information will be collected either on the online survey or during the interviews.
This is open to all University of Edinburgh employees based in LLC, whether they are members of a union or not, so please feel free to share this information with your colleagues. You may participate in either the online survey or the individual interview, as you prefer.
Interview sessions will take place in the week commencing 18th May in the Edinburgh Futures Institute, and the online survey will be open from 18 – 31 May.
